CHESTERTON - Albert A. Glasgow, 77, of Burns Harbor, and formerly of Hammond and Warsaw, died Aug. 3, 2007, in his residence.

He was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Butler, Mo., to Earl and Beulah Alexander Glasgow. On Oct. 10, 1950, in Hammond, he married Rosemarie Schaller, who survives.

He was a truck driver for American Can Co., retiring in 1989, and a member of Teamsters Local 142.

Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Michael (Leann) Perrine, Burns Harbor; Mrs. Robbie (Patricia) Niemela, Tooele, Utah; and Mrs. Scott (Debra) Germain, LaCrosse; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; his mother, Beulah Glasgow, Hammond; a brother, Larry Glasgow, Gary; and two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Maudie) Kostoff, Hammond, and Betty Susko, Highland. He was preceded in death by a son and a grandson.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton, with the Rev. Tim McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Cremation Heritage Crematory, Portage.

Calling is from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
