NORTH WEBSTER – Alan E. Leinbach, 65, of North Webster, died at 1:35 p.m. July 21, 2013, in his residence.
He was born Oct. 6, 1947, in Goshen, to Maurice E. and Joyce C. Yoder Leinbach. On June 30, 1973, in Hagerstown, Md., he married Helen K. Eby, who survives.
He graduated from Millersburg High School in 1965 and received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Mennonite College,  Harrisonburg, Va., in 1972. He also completed some post graduate studies from Eastern Mennonite Seminary & Grace Seminary.
He moved to the North Webster area from Maryland in November 1989. He retired in June 2013 from Grace College & Seminary, Winona Lake, after 23 years of service. He also was formerly part of the pastoral team at North Pointe Fellowship, Warsaw.
He attended Family Worship Center at the Lighthouse,   Goshen. He formerly attended North Pointe Fellowship, Warsaw, formerly coached Upward Basketball at North Webster United Methodist Church and was a board member for Mennonite Disaster Services.
Also surviving are a daughter, Betsy Leinbach (and Jon Bontrager), Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Andy Leinbach, Chicago, Ill., and Mark (and spouse Marlea) Leinbach, Dundee, Ohio; five grandchildren; his mother,  Joyce Leinbach, Markle; a sister, Nancy Leinbach, Uniondale; and a brother, Dennis (and spouse Joyce) Leinbach, Uniondale. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, North Webster, with Pastor Steve Leinbach officiating. Burial will be in Mock Addition of  North Webster Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster.
