LEESBURG – Al Reed Robinson, 86, Leesburg, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 25, 2016, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. He was born March 25, 1929, in Audrain County, Mo., to Al Newton and Bertie Ellen Munday Robinson. On Oct. 27, 1951, in Arkansas, he married Rosie Mae Jordan, who survives in Leesburg. He entered the U.S. Army Jan. 20, 1947, and was honorably discharged after a second enlistment. He was employed at Chore-Time Brock for 22 years, retiring in 1994 as a welder. He enjoyed restoring old cars and home remodeling, hunting and fishing and hunting for mushrooms. Also surviving are two sons, Allen (and spouse Nancy) Robinson, Warsaw, and Joseph Robinson, Leesburg; a daughter, Cathy (and spouse Baldemar) Espinoza, Warsaw; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack D. Robinson, Mexico, Mo., and Oscar L. Robinson, Palestine. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Myle Lee, Burdell, George W., Bill, Bob and Albertus Robinson; and four sisters: Myrtle E. Jones, Goldie O. Davidson, Ruth E. Harding and Mary Robinson. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Leesburg Cemetery, with Pastor Bob Jarboe, chaplain for Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126, Warsaw.
