AKRON – Thursday, the Akron Area Arts League will present former North Manchester and Maconaquah art teacher Brenda Ramseier with the annual Artist of the Year award. The reception and AAAL meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres in the Akron Community Center east of Akron and north on Ind. 14. The public is invited. Akron Jam The third Friday jam starts at 7 p.m. Friday in the Akron Community Center located east of Akron and north on State Road 14. Photography Group The Akron Area Arts League photography group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fulton County Library, Rochester, to hang the annual show. Bring your prints framed and with wire hangers. The group will adjourn to the Streamliner Restaurant for a social time and to look at photographs taken during the Rochester Chili Cook-off.
