AKRON – The Akron Arts League writer’s group meets Dec. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Akron Public Library. The writing prompt is holiday memories or the best/worse gift you have ever received. People who enjoy writing and sharing are welcome to attend. Refreshments are served. The Akron Third Friday Jam, Dec. 19, will feature holiday music of all varieties. Bring a snack to share and enjoy the sounds of the season played on acoustic instruments. Music starts at 7 p.m. in the Akron Community Center, located east of Akron and north on Ind. 14. There is no charge to attend but donations are welcomed. The AAAL photography group will not meet in December. The next scheduled meeting is Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church, 530 Jefferson St., Rochester. Those interested in photography and cameras are welcome to attend. AAAL Artist of the Year, Brenda Ramseier, has pen and ink drawings plus paintings on display now through Dec. 17 during regular library hours in the Fulton County Public Library, Rochester.
