Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to the Allens for their letters on May 12, 2008. We too, believe there is a lot of corruption in the Kosciusko Cunty Justice System. Too many things are happening that go unanswered and are uncalled for. Anyone who believes there is corruption should contact Steve Carter, our attorney general. Maybe if there are enough people who contact him, he will investigate.

To Joanne Kolbe, are you a mom? It is easy to sit on your soapbox and say that lady did the right thing, but if you were a mom, I don't think you would feel the same way.

Also, where was the responsibility of the Wagon Wheel in all of this? Did he show you a picture ID? You have to show one to vote, write or cash a check, etc. So where was your responsibility? You served a minor! Why didn't that lady tell them they were serving a minor? If she knew they were serving a minor, doesn't that make her just as guilty as they were?

Yes, this young man is responsible for his own actions, but other people could have stopped all of this before it got out of hand.

Did the officers identify themselves? You'd better believe that if one person I don't know comes at me, I am going to try and defend myself the best way I can, let alone six people coming at me.

This whole incident and a lot more in Kosciusko County needs to be thoroughly investigated and everyone take their own responsibility. We've heard a lot of things about the Kosciusko County Justice System lately. Like the inmate who "committed" suicide, conditions in the jail itself. As taxpayers and employers of these officers we have a right to know what is being done by our "employees" and where our money is going. Let's start at the county level holding these people accountable and ask Steve Carter, Indiana's Attorney General, to investigate. Remember, he works for us, too.

We are moms and we are not in any way condoning underage drinking or drinking and driving, but justice is supposed to be for all. We just don't see any here in Kosciusko County.
