FORT WAYNE – Agnes A. Woenker, 77, passed away Aug. 9, 2013, in The Towne House Retirement Center, Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne, to George and Mary Hartman. She married William Woenker, who survives. She was co-founder of Chematics, where sheworked along with her husband, for 40 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Ege. An avid Cub and Purdue Boilermaker fan, she loved spending time with her family and caring for her garden and hummingbirds. Also surviving are four sons: Timothy (and spouse Tena) Woenker and Edward Woenker, all of Fort Wayne; Paul (and spouse Susan) Woenker, Cary, Ill.; and John “Hans” (and spouse Jennifer) Woenker, New Haven; two daughters, Julie (and spouse Mark) Lazerwitz, Valparaiso, and Mary Anne (and spouse Paul) Bower, West Lafayette; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and George Hartman, both of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Theresa Overmeyer, Defiance, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Laura A. Thomas; a grandson, John Robert Woenker; and two sisters, Lucille Ryan and Rosemary Goleeke. A mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 518 E. DeWald, Fort Wayne, with Father Phillip Widmann officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Calling is one hour prior to services and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the church. ***** Memorials may be made to the Masses.
