DENVER – Adelene L. Flenner, 86, Peru, and formerly of Macy, passed away at 8:23 a.m. Jan. 21, 2015, at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru.
She was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Jefferson Township, Miami County, to Otto and Esther E. Erlenbaugh Scott. On Jan. 24, 1948, at the home of her parents, she married Donald D. Flenner, who preceded her in death Jan. 12, 2010.
She was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson Township High School in Mexico. She was a member of the New Life United Methodist Church in Mexico, Miami County Republican Women, Allen Township Extension Homemakers Club and the United Methodist Women.  She enjoyed fishing, polka dancing and playing cards.
Survivors include four children: Cindy Jo (and spouse Richard) Walker, Columbia City; Thomas Fayne Flenner (and fiancee Carolyn Coffing), Warsaw; Amy (and spouse Doug) Robison and Julie Kepes, all of Peru; nine grandchildren: Gregg and Danny Flenner, Brooke Clawson, Lindsay Robison, Emily Stefanko, Beth Andrews, Brian Walker, Jacob Kepes and Hannah Kepes; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Ellis Scott; and three sisters: Hattie Bernard, Alma Meeks and Edna Griswold.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, on the date of her and Don’s 67th anniversary, at McClain Funeral Home with Pastor J. Robert Clark officiating. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
