Addlene Bays, 88, of Warsaw, passed away at 3:15 a.m. July 16, 2011, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Huntington.
She was born Sept. 11, 1922, in Myrtle, Ky., to Randolph “R.D.” and Sarah E. Sparks Hall. On Feb. 28, 1953, in Angola, she married Elbert “Red” Bays, who died Oct. 24, 1994.
Moving to Kosciusko County in the 1950s, she was a homemaker and a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw. She loved her family but God was always first in her life. She was an inspiration to all that knew her and will be greatly missed by her niece, Phyllis Bays and family, the daughter she never had.
Surviving are a brother, Ed Hall, McGuffey, Ohio; three sisters, Irene Smith, Kenton, Ohio, and Eva Jean Hollon and Annabelle (and spouse Noah) Hollon, all of Alger, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Reba Jean Tackett, Finley, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Woodrow and Bill Hall, and a sister, Hazel Miller.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
