FORT WAYNE - Joseph B. Mendenhall, 82, of Warsaw, has been upgraded to fair condition at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mendenhall was injured in a Thursday accident near Larwill in which his wife, Sherry Mendenhall, 79, was killed.
Mrs. Mendenhall was the driver of the car they were in when she pulled into the path of a car driven by Jamie Helm, 24, of Warsaw.
Mr. Mendenhall was in serious condition at the time of the accident.
Helm and her 18-month-old child who was in the car were not injured.
The accident occurred on U.S. 30 at Spring Creek Market.
