Accident Claims Nappanee RiderNORTH WEBSTER - A Nappanee man was killed in a car-motorcycle collision Tuesday afternoon near North Webster.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Marvin H. Miller, 41, Nappanee, was riding a motorcycle on Ind. 13 when a Jeep driven by Ronald L. Schwartz Jr., 44, Syracuse, reportedly turned in his path at the intersection with CR 500N, North Webster.

Around 4:27 p.m. Tuesday, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call about the accident. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Miller unconscious lying in the road. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner's Office due to head injuries.

Miller was southbound on Ind. 13 on a 2003 Harley Davidson when Schwartz's northbound 2005 Jeep attempted to turn west onto CR 500N in front of him. Schwartz then saw Miller and stopped the Jeep.

Miller has laid down his motorcycle, but he continued to slide and then hit the Jeep.

Miller was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and police say there are no indications of alcohol being a factor although legal blood draw results are still pending.

The Kosciusko County crash investigation team was assisted at the scene by the North Webster EMS, North Webster Fire Department, North Webster Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
