NORTH MANCHESTER — Manchester Alive is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Accessories for Hope, marking a milestone for both the business and The COOP in downtown North Manchester.
For the past year, Accessories for Hope has been part of The COOP’s growing community of local entrepreneurs and small businesses, according to the provided release. But behind the jewelry, bags and accessories is a mission that extends beyond the shop itself.
“Accessories for Hope is dedicated to providing fair trade and ethically made products that provide customers with unique, high-quality items,” said Sherry Searles, owner of Accessories for Hope. “The jewelry, bags and other accessories are handmade by women living in situations of poverty or who have been rescued from human trafficking. Proceeds go toward helping them live sustainable lives, free from violence.”
It’s a mission that gives shoppers an opportunity to shop with purpose - discovering something beautiful and unique while knowing their purchase supports women working toward safer, more sustainable futures.
Located in downtown North Manchester, The COOP brings together eight retail experiences under one roof. Shoppers can browse, discover something unexpected, meet local business owners and support multiple small businesses in one stop.
