Absentee Voting Oct. 24; Candidates Listed

Early voting, also known as absentee voting, begins Oct. 24.

Voting will be at Kosciusko County Clerk’s office, Kosciusko County Justice Building, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw.

The early voting office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed for lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday, through Nov. 4.

The office also will be open Nov. 5 and Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The general election is Nov. 8 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Candidates include: Warsaw mayor, Joe Thallemer (R), and Jerry Opperud (I); clerk-treasurer, Lynne Christiansen (R); city council at-large, Madeline Call (R), Cindy Dobbins (R), and Dan Stevens, (L); city council district 1, Jeff Grose (R); city council district 2, Charlie Smith (R); city council district 3, Mike Klondaris (R); city council district 4 candidates, Mary Elen Rudisel-Jordan (R), William Frush (I); and city council district 5, Diane Quance (R).

In Winona Lake, candidates are: clerk-treasurer candidate, Kent Adams (R); Winona council district 1, Philip Hood (R); town council district 2, John Boal; council district 3, Bruce Shaffner (R); council district 4, Greg Winn (R); and council district 5, Randy Swanson (R) and Ron Shavers (D).

In Claypool, candidates are: clerk-treasurer candidates, Paul Berkey (R), Tricia Marino (D) and Miccah Shepherd (L); and town council, Donald Miller (R), Thomas Burnworth Jr. (D), Niki Miller (D) and David Dills (L).

In Mentone, candidates are: clerk-treasurer, Barbara Ross (R); town council, Kent Ganshorn (R), Jill Gross (R), Shelly Krueger (R) and Timothy Croy (D).
