To all who attended our record-setting banquet Monday evening, or read the 9/29/09 Times-Union article written by Daniel Riordan, please allow me to correct the statistic given by our excellent speaker, Shawn Carney.
Shawn stated that 30 abortions take place monthly with women from Kosciusko County. Thanks in part to our many friends, supporters, volunteers, and, of course, God Almighty, the numbers have never been that high in our county. In addition, they have dropped dramatically over the last few years. Forty-six women from Kosciusko County had an abortion performed in the most recent calendar year reported.
As more men and women become aware of the negative, life-changing impact that abortion has on their lives and emotional well being, my prayer is that the numbers will continue to drop and that we will eventually have zero to report. With God, all things are possible.
