Two alcohol beverage permit holder representatives, both with recent violations, appeared before the Alcoholic Beverage Board of Kosciusko County Thursday.
Dale Neff, of Lakeland Eagles No. 3760, was before the board regarding a gambling violation.
"We had six video poker machines," said Neff of the Sept. 8 violation. "We were cited, fined, paid the fines, called the guy we leased them from and he came and got them. We'll try to keep them out."
"Well, you'd better keep them out," said commissioner Ken Johnson.
Neff said he only had one vote on the board of directors and couldn't make any guarantees.
Gordon Vanator, president of the beverage board, advised Neff that the club's license would be pulled if there are two more violations.
"We intend to enforce the policy," he said of the three-strikes-and-you're-out stance.
The Eagles license was renewed.
Tina Beliles appeared before the board representing CVS Pharmacy, Detroit Street, Warsaw.
She said a newer employee sold liquor to a state policeman on a Sunday evening.
"Employees do sign statements saying they know our policy," Beliles said. She said the employee quit soon after the incident.
Excise officer John Barchak advised her to look into registers reminding cashiers there are no Sunday liquor sales.
The store's liquor license was renewed.
The board also:
Transferred the Wawasee Bowl license to Yoder Family Investments after Jeff Yoder presented an affidavit of compliance for a public notice.
Approved a beer wine and liquor renewal for F.C. Horse Inc., 406 S. Main St., Leesburg d/b/a Leesburg Liquors. Philip E. VanCuren, president, and Carol B. VanCuren, secretary, both of Warsaw.
