A Romantic Evening With The Symphony Of The Lakes Orchestra

The Symphony of the Lakes Orchestra invites you to bring your sweetheart for an evening of romantic music and an opportunity to buy her that special something without the hassle of shopping.

A silent auction boutique will be available for those last-minute shoppers during Sunday evening's concert. Auction items include a romantic dinner for two at Cerulean Restaurant and a night's stay at the Chestnut Bed & Breakfast; dinner for two at the Boat House Restaurant and a night's stay at Chestnut Bed & Breakfast; Expressions gift certificate; Chocolate Facial at Village Spa in Winona Lake; gift certificates for a massage at Thing Young; crystal bracelet from Bower's Jewelers; private concert in your home with Gert Kumi, concert master for Symphony of the Lakes Orchestra; and two cardiac screenings from Kosciusko Community Hospital.

The evening's music will include music from "The Sound of Music," "My Fair Lady," "Oklahoma!", "The Best of the Beatles", "Die Fledermaus", "The Mikado" and "Blue Danube Waltzes".

Songs from "The Sound of Music" will include "The Sound of Music," "The Lonely Goatherd," "My Favorite Things," "Sixteen, Going on Seventeen," "So Long, Farewell," "Do, Re, Mi", "Edelweiss" and "Climb Ev'ry Mountain."

For "My Fair Lady," the songs will include "I Could Have Danced All Night," "On The Street Where You Live", "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" and "Get Me to the Church on Time."

Numbers from "Oklahoma!" will include "The Farmer and the Cowman", "Oklahoma!", "People Will Say We're in Love," "Out of My Dreams," "Oh What a Beautiful Morning," "Pore Jud is Daid," "The Surrey with the Fringe on Top," "Many a New Day," "Kansas City," "Farmer Dance" and "I Can't Say No."Beatles songs played will be "Got to Get You Into my Life", "Michelle," "When I'm Sixty-Four" and "Get Back".

"Die Fledermaus" will include "Laughing Song" with Sarah Williams singing soprano.

"Three Little Maids" will be performed from "The Mikado". Sopranos will be Grace Beasley, Jill Aydelotte and Elizabeth Roseberry.
