A Magical First FridayThose who made it out to First Friday last night in downtown Warsaw got to witness magician Tyler Sherwin (first photo) perform a number of illusions. While he performs at restaurants, birthday parties and other special events, he will be auditioning for the television competition “America’s Got Talent” Nov. 14 in Cincinnati. Until then, he can be booked for events by telephone at 574-265-8596; Instagram at TS_Magic or email at tylersherwinmagic@gmail.com. A little ways north on Buffalo Street, Bryan and Heather Chaney (second photo), of Syracuse, were at a booth to talk about Americangreyhound.org, which provides foster and permanent homes for greyhounds. Their own dogs, Paul and Jibbles, wearing Batman and Batgirl costumes respectively, found themselves petted a lot by passersby. American Greyhound is based out of Valparaiso. And then just down from the Chaneys, Relentless Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, 524 E. Market St., Warsaw, was offering demonstrations of the sport. One of the demonstrations (third photo) featured professor David Sumpter (in black) taking on sensei Brandon Hunter (in white). Sumpter and Hunter are co-owners of the business.
