A Little Off The Top

Posted

(Above) Norman Angel (R) and Steve Heller (L) had more than a little taken off the top this morning at the United Way kickoff breakfast. Angel and Heller are employees of one of the 1997 campaign pacesetter companies, Kimble Glass Inc. Angel and Heller agreed to get 'buzz cuts' if the company's United Way goal was met. Doing the honors in the grim reaper hood is local stylist and longtime United Way agency supporter Derry Dillon of D.C. Haircrafters. Other pacesetters this year include American Red Cross, Biomet Inc., Dana Corp., First National Bank and Little Crow Foods. Representatives of each pacesetter came forward today to talk about how they were able to achieve their campaign goals. KCH President Wayne Hendrix (below) urged those in attendance to learn from the pacesetters and work hard to achieve the $950,000 goal of the current United Way campaign.
