Aliens have invaded to take soil from Earth, and while they’re around humans must be quarantined. That’s the premise behind the comedic play “A Delightful Quarantine” being put on this weekend by the Warsaw Community High School Select Theatre Class. Proceeds benefit the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund. The show is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Black Box Theatre of the Performing Arts Center at WCHS. Tickets are $5. “Aliens have come and they want our soil. So when they come to your neighborhood, you have to be quarantined for three days because they have diseases,” Director and drama teacher Dana McAfee explained. There are seven different groups of people stuck in seven different houses, and not necessarily their own homes. While they’re stuck in quarantine, the cast of characters have to figure out their issues – and there’s a variety of issues for them to deal with over the three days. “It’s a comedy. There is one dramatic scene, but it’s mostly a comedy,” McAfee said. The show was written by Mark Dunn. The cast, in order of appearance, includes: Erin Mills as Professor Lucy Fuller; Sara Hohman, Barbara Middlebrook; Karissa Meyers, Paula Middlebrook-Cobb; Annie Wray, Kitty Civette; Elizabeth Brown, Judeen Dempsey; Aaron Wainscott, Chester Banderhorn; Gabi Bradley, Bethany Robbins; Wyatt Slone, Clark Wigglin; Cailin Clay, Shirley Wigglin; Bailey Berelsman, Roy Robbins; Brooke Neubaum, Diandra Robbins; Rachael Kuhn, Jennifer Wigglin; Katie Yocum, Sue Stadler; Sam Engle, Dean Stadler; Kendra Housel, Violet Bassey; Lydia DeBoest, Mavis Jemco; and Lucas Cone as Tug Goff.
