A Corny Job

Posted

Jeff Carson, working for Tom's Farms, plants corn Friday afternoon in a field near the intersection of CRs 1050N and 300E. With warmer temperatures in the area this weekend, many farmers are likely to take advantage and get their crops started if they haven't already gotten a jump on it. If last week's cold spell had continued, the corn might have had difficulty reaching its 'knee-high' mark. Now, if we can only get some rain. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
