A Child's Cries

“A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world.  It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.” – Agatha Christie.

Mothers are warriors for their children. It is endless, unselfish and endures whatever may come. A mother will protect and believe even when the rest of the world condemns. There are times when a mother’s love can not wipe away all the tears, can not protect from all the hurt the world may bring. A child’s innocence believes that when needed a “calvary will come” to help them, but sometimes they don’t come and they don’t hear the cries.

To live in this life a child needs love, faith and courage. A child needs to see that for all the bad people in this world there are still heroes, and that it’s alright for them to stand up and fight sometimes.

Whether a mother, father, aunt, uncle, grandparent, teacher, police, judge or friend. To be a hero to a child and to stop, listen and help may require patience and work. To turn and walk away from a child, ignoring their cries, only takes seconds. What will you do?
