99th Annual Whitley County 4-H Fair Planned For July 14-20

WHITLEY COUNTY - The Whitley County 4-H Fair is held every July in Columbia City.
Located just minutes from Fort Wayne, Huntington and Warsaw, the 4-H fair showcases the talents of Whitley County’s youth, according to a news release from the fair. Check out the exhibits, competitions, livestock, food and grandstand entertainment. The 4-H fair highlights the heritage of the community and its ties to agriculture, industry and businesses that are the backbone of the community.
The Whitley County 4-H Fair has always been a time and place for family and friends to meet and come together to support and encourage the young people, the release states. Whether it be viewing the projects on the hill, or watching the livestock shows, the 4-H fair is the culmination of the youth’s yearlong hard work. The fair also brings the chance to get your fill of the 4-H ice cream including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, peanut butter, lemon and maple.
Entertainment events are a way to unwind at the end of a busy day at the fair. The Whitley County 4-H Fair is excited to have 3-J Rodeo back for this year’s fair. Other events this year, include:
? Friday Night - Toughest Truck Contests
? Saturday Night – Demolition Derby
? Sunday Night – 4WD Truck Pull
? Monday Night - 3-J Rodeo
? Tuesday Night – Farmer Olympics
? Wednesday Night – Pre-run Derby and Power Puff Demo Derby
Local vendors represented in the commercial building are waiting on your visit; while local ag museum and antique tractor display are second to none, according to the release.
Admission to the 4-H fair is free and there is no charge for parking.
Fair partners are Ag Plus, Andy’s Car Wash, Alliance Feed/Land O’Lakes, Auto Credit USA, Duffit and Associates, Hilty Buildings, Holzinger Seed Service, Kelley Automotive, Micropulse, The Kitchen, Theresa Baysinger, TriLakes Restaurant and Wheeler Mechanical.
