A 9-year-old Warsaw boy is in fair condition today after being hit by a car.
Brice Islas, 9, reportedly was playing tag with his brother when he ran in front of a car on West Center Street, 20 feet west of North Union Street, Warsaw.
According to the police report, witnesses said Islas ran into the road from behind a parked pickup.
The driver, George Beecher, 74, Ross Avenue, Warsaw, was reported traveling the speed limit, 30 miles per hour, and could not avoid collision.
Islas was transported to Kosicusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, with internal head injuries. He was later taken to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he remains.
