8-Year-Old Remains In Critical Condition

FORT WAYNE - An 8-year-old Warsaw girl struck by a car Wednesday is still in critical condition this morning at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Jacquline R. Egolf, CR 525W, was riding her bicycle to the intersection of CR 525W and Old Road 30W, near Atwood, Wednesday evening when her bike was struck by a car.

The driver of the car, Andrea Baker, 19, Pierceton, told police Egolf did not stop her bike at the intersection and rode out in front of Baker's car on Old 30W.

According to police reports, Egolf is on life support, suffering from a closed head injury, skull fracture, pelvic fracture and fractured clavicle.
