The school board candidate filing for the general election ended at noon Friday.
Tippecanoe Valley
Only incumbents filed for the Tippecanoe Valley School Board election. Those include David Lash, District 3; Thomas J. Bauters, District 4; and Todd Hoffman, District 5.
Triton
There will be one competitive race for Triton’s school board.
Incumbents Steven Stichter, Etna Green, is running for District 2; Kenneth Miller, Bourbon, District 4; and Teresa Barnhart, Bourbon, is up for re-election to District 1. Robert E. Grigsby, Tippecanoe, has filed to run against Barnhart.
Wa-Nee
Five candidates filed for three districts at Wa-Nee Schools.
Trevor Hershberger, and incumbent Louis M. Bonacorski, both of Nappanee, are candidates for Union Township.
Incumbent Terry Graber, Goshen, and Brian Topping, Elkhart, are Harrison Township candidates.
Incumbent Curt Flickinger, Wakarusa, is the only Locke Township candidate.
Warsaw
There will only be one competitive race for the Warsaw School Board, though there are four seats up for election.
Tom Westerhof, Warsaw, who filed July 27, will be up against former board member Matt Dick, Warsaw, for District 1. Dick filed Thursday. Mike Coon is the incumbent but he is not seeking re-election.
Incumbent and Board President Heather Reichenbach, Warsaw, is the only candidate for District 2.
Incumbent Bradly Johnson, Claypool, is the only District 7 candidate.
Denny Duncan, a former Warsaw school principal, of Winona Lake, is the sole District 5 candidate. Jeremy Mullins is the incumbent but he did not seek re-election.
Wawasee
For Wawasee’s District 1, Tippecanoe Township, Neil Likens, North Webster, and Heather Coy, Leesburg, have filed. Incumbent is Robert Fisher.
Incumbent Andy Cripe, Syracuse, is the only District 2, Turkey Creek Township, candidate.
Steven Baut and Brian Weideman, both of Milford, filed for District 3, Van Buren Township. Incumbent is Rebecca “Becky” Linnemeier.
Whitko
There will be one competitive race for Whitko Schools.
Debra Thomas, Pierceton, is challenging incumbent Bill Patrick, Pierceton, for District 4, Jackson, Monroe and Washington townships, Kosciusko County. Both filed Thursday.
Incumbent Scott Werstler, Larwill, is unopposed for District 5, Richland and Cleveland Townships, Whitley County.
