Five candidates have filed for the three seats on the Warsaw Community School Board.
Filing deadline for the local school boards was noon Friday.
In addition, the Kosciusko County Democrats have added two new candidates for the Kosciusko County Council at-large seats for the fall general election.
Those who filed for the Warsaw school board positions include: Charles E. "Chuck" Sauders, 1778 S. Packerton Road, Warsaw, District 4; Sterling Watkins, 11 Fairlane Drive, Warsaw, District 4; Dan Robinson, 1815 Deer Trail, Warsaw, District 3; James L. Folk, 315 Gilliam Drive, Warsaw, District 3; and Deborah Wiggins, P.O. Box 393, Warsaw, District 6.
Three candidates have filed for the two Wawasee school board at-large seats: incumbent George Gilbert, 10635 Lung Lane, Syracuse, Turkey Creek Township; incumbent Dallas L. Winchester, 516 E. Beer Road, Milford, Van Buren Township; and Melvin Gee, 9723 N. Marine Key Drive, Syracuse, Turkey Creek Township.
The two seats will be filled by the top two candidates with the most votes who are not from the same district. All three districts currently have one representative on the school board.
For the Triton School Board election, positions open include the at-large and Bourbon Township seats, District 3. Those who have filed for Triton School Board at-large seats are Kevin R. Boyer, 305 Rose Lane, Bourbon, and Richard Trowbridge, 19777 Birch Road, Tippecanoe. Up for the Bourbon Township position are Steve J. Feldman, 295 12B Road, Bourbon, and Kris N. Glingle, 7730 Chestnut Road, Bourbon.
In addition to Democrat Joe Banks, 1337 N. CR 400E, Warsaw, as a Kosciusko County council at-large candidate, the Democrat party has added Jon R. Custer, 3262 E. CR 750N, Leesburg, and Dan Damron, 2604 Westside Drive, Warsaw, to its slate.
The three Democrats will vie for the three at-large seats against Republicans Robert G. "Bob" Sanders, 3294 N. CR 600E, Warsaw; incumbent Thomas L. Anglin, 2757 N. CR 875W, Etna Green; and incumbent Larry Teghtmeyer, 4086 E. Forest Glen Ave., Leesburg.
Unopposed in the fall Kosciusko County election are Republicans Sharon Christner, 2619 E. Robby Drive, Warsaw, Clerk of Circuit Court, incumbent; Kent Adams, 1303 Lakewood Hills Drive, Warsaw, county treasurer; John E. Sadler, 291 EMS C29 Lane, Warsaw, county coroner; Richard Kemper, 8112 E. CR 850N, Syracuse, county surveyor, incumbent; Bradford L. "Brad" Jackson, 309 Jackson Trail, Syracuse, northern district county commissioner, incumbent; and Ronald D. Truex, 7518 W. Snyder Road, Warsaw, middle district county commissioner, incumbent.
