Five bands from all over the state will perform Friday night to help collect non-perishable food items for Combined Community Services.
Starting tentatively at 8 p.m., the all-ages concert will take place at Take Action Tattoo, 938 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, in the Center Lake Plaza, according to co-organizer John Brown.
Brown also is the owner/operator and artist of Take Action Tattoo.
Josh Newsome, Fort Wayne, will play an acoustic set. Drew Rochotte, a member of the Grace band Wax Eyes, will play a solo set.
John Davey, West Lafayette, is a touring musician who plays 160 to 180 shows a year.
Though from Bloomington, the members of Buttonhoof all originated from the Kosciusko County area. They're a punk rock group.
Event co-organizer Ryan Kerr also is a musician, booking and music promoter. From North Manchester, he will play an acoustic set of Western Americana Roots Rock.
The Dead Records from Fort Wayne rounds out the five acts.
"They're a really good rock band," said Kerr.

Kerr also just put out a record, and Davey is getting ready to put one out, Kerr said.
Brown said Take Action has been holding a food drive for CCS for the past week and continues through Friday's event. During the event, there will also be a silent auction of three art pieces with all the proceeds benefitting the Beaman Home. The art pieces include two acrylic and one oil.
Eventually, Brown said, he hopes to put on more shows in his shop on a regular basis for charitable causes. Previously, he's had three or four shows with all the proceeds going to CCS. In the future, he said, shows may benefit other charitable organizations.
"My goal through tattoos is to not only support my family, but the community and arts as well," Brown said.
There is no cost for Friday's 8 p.m. show, Kerr said, but he suggest people bring in a non-perishable food item and a $3 donation for the traveling bands' expenses. However, donations are not required."It's going on in the context of doing more shows and benefitting more charities," Brown said.
He said the location is a warm and inviting place for all people.
"We try to make all people feel welcome. We also exhibit local artists' work. Any artist is welcome to display their work," Brown said.
