One adult and four juveniles have been arrested for allegedly causing damage to buildings, vehicles and property in the Warsaw area.
Joseph Earl Roose, 18, of 1659 W. CR 300S, Warsaw, was arrested at 11:52 p.m. Tuesday and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on charges of false police reporting.
The four juveniles, three boys and one girl ages 15 and 16, were detained by the Warsaw Police Department for acts of criminal mischief.
All five are suspected to have been a part in a series of at least 20 incidents involving shooting BBs and pellets out of a vehicle at windows in buildings and vehicles over three nights this week. The damage caused April 3, 4 and 5 is estimated at more than $12,000.
A report of suspicious vehicles at the airport Tuesday night led to traffic stops. The five suspects were taken into custody following the traffic stop.
The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents early Wednesday morning. According to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office, the parents of the juveniles are responsible for the damage caused by the minors. Victims of the crimes can take the juveniles' parents to small claims court for reimbursement.
Juvenile delinquency filings have been forwarded to the prosecutor's office and the Kosciusko County Probation Department to determine appropriate action.
