4-H Livestock Auction Results Announced; Sale Totals Over $211K

Results of the 2020 Kosciusko County 4-H Livestock Auction, which was July 13-16, are in and the sale total is $211,077.
The online auction – premium only – had no market animals included in the sale of the lots. 4-Hers were allowed to sell only one lot versus two in prior years.
In the beef division, there were 32 entries for a total sale of $54,565. Other divisions were: dairy, 20 entries, $22,835; dairy calf feeder steer, 20 entries, $17,755; dairy steer, six entries, $7,425; goats, 48 entries, $22,740; king kiss, one entry, $1,735; poultry, 60 entries, $22,167; queen kiss, one entry, $450; rabbit, six entries, $4,570; rabbit, six entries, $4,570; sheep, 17 entries, $12,390; and swine, 52 entries, $44,445.
Total lots sold were 264. Total income was $211,077.
Those that did not sell and are being taken to the state fair included: Grand Champion & Reserve Grand Champion Barrow, exhibited by Landon Bewley, Silver Lake; Grand Champion & Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb, exhibited by Jordyn Leininger, Pierceton; Grand Champion Dairy Calf Feeder Steer was exhibited by Justin Beer, Milford, who also exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Dairy Beef Steer; and Jared Beer, Milford, exhibited the Grand Champion Dairy Steer.
Those that did not sell for other reasons included: Grand Champion Guernsey Cow, exhibited by Kylie Evans, Warsaw; Grand Champion Senior Doe - Goat Milk, exhibited by Ethan Moore, Warsaw (could sell only one goat entry); Grand Champion Specialty Market Goat, exhibited by Airyana Bradley,?Leesburg.
The Grand Champion Beef Steer, exhibited by Allie Ayers, Warsaw, was purchased for $3,935.
