A Waterloo man faces child molesting and battery charges in two separate cases filed in Kosciusko County courts.
Robert Michael Simcox, 36, formerly of Warsaw, is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail in lieu of $22,000 bond.
In a case filed in November in Kosciusko Superior Court, Simcox is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl in February 1996 and on several occasions thereafter. The girl became pregnant at age 15 and, although the teen told authorities Simcox is the father of her child, paternity was never established.
In that case, Simcox is charged with child molesting, a Class A felony, and sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class B felony.
Simcox also faces charges of domestic battery and criminal confinement in a Kosciusko Circuit Court case filed in September. He allegedly battered his then-girlfriend Diana L. Sexton after an argument Aug. 25 at their East Smith Street apartment.
When Sexton attempted to leave the residence, Simcox reportedly grabbed her by the arms and ripped her shirt.
