3 Silver Lake Women Involved In 2-Vehicle Crash SaturdayA Silver Lake woman was airlifted after a two-vehicle collision late Saturday morning.

The 10:44 a.m. crash occurred at the intersection of Ind. 14 and CR 600W in Seward Township, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

Preliminary results of the crash investigation indicate April Lloyd, 41, Silver Lake, was traveling south on CR 600W, approaching Ind. 14 in a 2013 Ford Fusion, prior to the collision, the news release states. She failed to yield to a Ford Ranger, driven by Amber High, 19, Silver Lake, who was driving east on Ind. 14 in a 2002 Ford Ranger. Amber High’s Ranger hit the passenger side of Lloyd’s Fusion, and the vehicles came to rest on the southeast side of the intersection.

Lloyd was airlifted to a unspecified hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the KCSO release.

Amber High was treated and released at the scene.

Cheryl High, 54, Silver Lake, a front-seat passenger in Amber High’s Ranger, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to an unspecified hospital.

Responding agencies included KCSO, Claypool Police Department, Burket Fire Department, Silver Lake Fire Department, Parkview EMS and Parkview Samaritan Air Ambulance.
