Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday, with two of the injured taken to Parkview Regional Hospital.
The accident occurred at 3:06 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of East Pierceton Road and South CR 500E, Warsaw.
Merry L. Thomas, 59, South County Farm Road, Claypool, was traveling south on CR 500E in a green 2000 Dodge Dakota and approaching the stop sign at the intersection with Pierceton Road, according to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office report.
James L. Upp, 29, Amboy, was traveling east on Pierceton Road in a silver 2008 Pontiac Torrent approaching the intersection. Upp said Thomas did not stop at the stop sign and pulled into the path of his vehicle, the report stated.
Thomas said she was arguing with passengers in her Dakota and did not see the Torrent and pulled in front of it. A passenger in Thomas’ vehicle also said there was an argument in the vehicle and Thomas pulled in front of Upp.
A witness said she saw the Dakota run the stop sign and pull into the path of the Torrent.
Thomas complained of neck pain and was taken to Parkview. Michelle Lucas, 46, South Woodland Lane, Warsaw, a passenger in Thomas’ vehicle, complained of neck pain and also was taken to Parkview. Two other passengers in Thomas’ vehicle said they were not injured.
Upp said his leg was injured. It was checked out by EMS, but Upp was not taken to a hospital.
