Kosciusko County Drug Task Force made three arrests in two cases of methamphetamine manufacturing and dealing Monday, and North Manchester police arrested an alleged cocaine dealer.

Tuesday afternoon, in conjunction with Wabash County Drug Task Force, Jeff Gable, 40, North Manchester, was arrested and booked into Wabash County Jail.

The investigation into Gable, who lives in rural North Manchester near the Wabash/Kosciusko county line, began in late 2003, when he sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant. In 2004, he sold the drug to undercover officers.

Police obtained a warrant and arrested Gable yesterday. At the time of Gable's arrest, officers discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine and paraphernalia in his possession.

In Atwood, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force arrested Shawn Morton, 41, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, a Class D felony.

Police were acting on tips that Morton had a meth lab in his home. At his Atwood residence they discovered methamphetamine and items associated with manufacturing the drug.

North Manchester Police executed two separate drug-related search warrants Monday evening, resulting in one arrest.

Christopher A. Mercer, 18, of 313 S. Market St., North Manchester, was arrested on dealing cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and resisting law enforcement.

A second warrant was executed at 301 S. Mill St., North Manchester, though no arrest was made.

Mercer's arrest resulted from a month-long investigation into drug activity.
