NORTH WEBSTER -ÊThree men are in custody in connection with a Sunday robbery near North Webster.

Rodney Brent Knuckles, 20, of 3015 N. Ind. 13, Pierceton, was arrested on charges of robbery around 7:32 p.m. Sunday. His bond was set at $10,000.

Matthew Gene Wagoner, 20, of 10398 N. Grove Road, Milford, and Cody William Ramseyer, 20, of 511 W. Catherine St., Milford, were arrested for aiding, including or causing robbery later Sunday night. Both Wagoner and Ramseyer are being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on $10,000 bonds.

Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department were called to investigate a robbery at a residence at 7304 E. CR 650N, North Webster. The owner of the home, Lula Scholle, told police that a big-built man, believed to be Knuckles, entered her house and demanded valuables. A bottle of prescription medication reportedly was taken from the residence also.

The man told Scholle to lock herself in a bedroom then fled the scene, running to a black Chevrolet Cavalier with a gray primer fender that was driven by another suspect.

The black Cavalier was stopped near Oswego shortly after the incident, and four people were taken into custody. Another suspect in the case was taken into custody at the North Webster Police Department.

The incident remains under investigation, and more arrests are expected.
