SOUTH WHITLEY - Three people were arrested at Whitley Manufacturing Friday morning on federal charges of misusing Social Security numbers.

The United States Attorney's Office announced a grand jury sitting in Fort Wayne returned indictments against Juan Castro, Nicole Briones and Laura Lopez.

The ages and addresses of the three arrested were not made available.

All three were arrested at Whitley Manufacturing, where they were employed.

All three are allegedly believed to have misused Social Security numbers, gave false personal information in order to gain employment at Whitley Manufacturing, and knowingly deceived the company.

All three were charged with a count of misuse of a Social Security number.

Charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Identity Task Force, comprised of the Indiana State Police and United States Postal Inspection Service.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
