SYRACUSE -ÊThree juvenile males were taken into custody after a drive-by shooting incident near Syracuse early this morning.
The Kosciusko County Dispatch Center received a call around 1:50 a.m. about shots fired at a house on Kern Road near Syracuse.
Deputies from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department went to the Jamie Schmucker residence at 12354 Kern Road near Syracuse. When officers arrived at the house, they were given the name of a possible suspect in the incident.
Police went to the suspect's residence on Ideal Beach Road and spoke with him. During the interview, the juvenile male gave officers the names of two other juvenile males allegedly involved in the shooting.
Officers then went to a residence on Seneca Drive and talked with the two males. The juveniles reportedly admitted to having a role in the shooting and said the shotgun used was inside the mobile home.
After obtaining a search warrant, officers went into the mobile home and recovered the shotgun.
No one was injured, and the three juveniles face criminal mischief charges for their roles in the incident.
