3 Arrested For Dealing Meth

Three men are in police custody after two separate incidents in Noble and Marshall counties.

According to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, NET 43 officers received information that a wanted subject was residing in Noble County at 1560 N. CR 1200W, east of Papakeechie Lake. Based on the tip, NET 43, along with Indiana State Police and the Noble County Sheriff’s Department, initiated a surveillance operation that revealed the suspect was Walter A. Spriggs, 49, of Cromwell, and also showing an address of 3355 W. Ind. 114, North Manchester. Spriggs had an active Wabash County arrest warrant for dealing methamphetamine and was taken into custody without incident.

On Friday, NET 43 officers purchased 10.5 grams of heroin and 112 grams of methamphetamine in Marshall County from Joseph Ladd, 36, and Kerry Perry, 37, both of South Bend. On Monday, NET 43 officers purchased an additional 198 grams of methamphetamine from the same men, and they were taken into custody and are being held at the Marshall County Jail for dealing methamphetamine charges. The Marshall County Drug Unit, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police assisted with the apprehensions.

So far this month, NET 43 has purchased or seized over a pound of methamphetamine, the news release states.

NET 43 stands for Narcotics Enforcement Team and is a collaborative law enforcement unit consisting of officers from the Warsaw and Winona Lake police departments, Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
