The death of a 27-year-old Leesburg man Saturday is being investigated as a possible drug overdose.

A spokesman in the Allen County Coroner's Office said this morning there is no official cause of death yet and the case is still under investigation.According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Dept. report, at approximately 10:04 p.m. Friday, a KCSD officer received a call of a possible drug overdose at 108 E. Prairie St., Leesburg. When officers arrived on scene, medics were already present, administering CPR to Zachary Ronald England.

Officers spoke to an adult male at the scene. The witness said his sister arrived at the residence and said England was in the car passed out. The witness then went out to the car and brought England into the residence due to the cold weather. England was first placed on the living room floor and then later taken into a bedroom.

Later, the sister checked on England and started yelling that something was wrong. The male witness found England was not breathing and 911 was called. He then started CPR on England until medics arrived.

The sister told officers that she and England had driven to Albion to pick up her children from their father's house. During the drive to Albion, England allegedly was "acting odd." In Albion, England went into the children's father's house to use the restroom. A short time later, the sister was advised to get England out of the residence because England allegedly had been caught rummaging through the medicine cabinet.

The children's father advised officers that after leaving the bathroom at his house, England was, according to the police report, "very unsteady on his feet and that his face was very red." He also almost fell out of the front door as he was leaving the residence.

Officers were advised that a female living at the Albion residence had four medications in the medicine cabinet, including Metronidozal, Terconazole, Trazedone and Cataphlyn.

England and the sister returned to Leesburg. The sister advised officers she received a call telling her that England had taken Phentanol patches from the medicine cabinet. England also had prescription medication in his vehicle.

England died at 9:06 p.m. Saturday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Denny Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
