A Fort Wayne man is facing charges of criminal confinement and intimidation with force after an incident Sunday afternoon.

Luther Spural, 21, Fort Wayne, was arrested early Monday morning and held on a $2,000 bond.

The charges resulted from an incident Sunday afternoon involving three minors.

According to a report filed at the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, a Silver Lake woman contacted authorities after her son claimed he was abducted by Spural and a woman and held for several hours.

The boy said he was chatting on the Internet with someone he believed to be a female friend. The boy said he was then threatened online and believed it was someone posing as his friend.

Later on in the day, the boy said he received a phone call from another friend.

The friend asked to meet with the boy and said he could come pick him up. The friend was being held by Spural, and according to the report, the friend was forced to set up a meeting. Spural picked up another boy and held all three boys for several hours.

According to the report, when the friend arrived at the Silver Lake boy's home, Spural forced him into a car and drove all three boys around the county.

The boy stated on one occasion, Spural stopped the car and threatened to shoot him. When police arrested Spural, no weapon was found.

Later, the boy alleged Spural forced him into the trunk of his car. Finally, the boy said Spural drove to a wooded area and forced two of the boys to fight each other.

Spural then dropped all three boys off at their homes.

When questioned, the boy said he believed the incident stemmed from a nude photo he received from the female friend.

All three boys involved in the incident were 13 years old.

An initial hearing for Spural was held Tuesday afternoon, though no information was available at press time.

Charges of criminal confinement also have been filed against Juanita Durik, Warsaw, in the incident. Durik is Spural's girlfriend and police reports indicate she accompanied him during the incident.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department Detective Todd Sautter is leading the case and said the investigation is continuing.
