2023 Bowl-A-Thon

The annual Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser for Special Olympics in Kosciusko County took place on Sunday, April 30 at The Bowling Alley in Warsaw. A total of $4,125 was raised to help support programs for Special Olympics athletes in the county. Top athlete fundraisers included Jerry Davis with over $600 and Robert Svinarich with $225.

Becky Walls, Special Olympics County coordinator, would like to thank Justin and Kaitlyn Miller for making balloon hats, all the volunteers who helped organize the Bowl-a-Thon, all donors, including the following: Collier’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Curt Boggs, Dairy Queen; Faye Arnett, Humana/Ben Snyder, JB Furniture; Maria’s Family Restaurant, Mike Swafford, Moose Lodge Family Ctr. 1432; North Manchester Midwest Eye, Penguin Point, PNC Bank; Robert’s Signs, The Bowling Alley, Toni’s Foot Connection; Tractor, Valarie Flannigan, Warsaw YMCA.

Special Olympics began in April 1973 in Kosciusko County. Becky Walls would like to announce that there will be a 50-year anniversary celebration on Thursday, August 24 at Tippy Creek Winery. Details will be announced soon!
