The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa recently awarded more than $14,000 in scholarships to several Kosciusko County students to help further their education. The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Tri Kappa is a non-profit organization in Kosciusko County with a tradition of philanthropic effort furthering the arts, education and culture in the community. Tri Kappa works all year with its many projects such as Bingo, trunk show and selling of decorated pumpkins to provide scholarships for Kosciusko County residents. The Alpha Lambda Scholarship is the highest scholarship awarded to a student for outstanding achievement. The Georgianna Easterday, Chapter and Vocational Scholarships are awarded with several criteria: solid academic performance, well-rounded character qualities and financial need. Lucille Rich, daughter of David and Candace Rich, received the Alpha Lambda Scholarship. She will attend Loyola University Chicago in the fall. Franklin Dush, son of Leland and Mary Dush, received the Alpha Lambda Scholarship. He will attend Indiana University in the fall. Megan Granger received the Georgianna Easterday Memorial Scholarship. She is a graduate student at Butler University, obtaining her doctorate in pharmacy.
