Warsaw Community High School students Madison Hart and Dan Dickerhoff will be spending six weeks in Niort, France, as participants in the exchange program with the Lycée St. André. They will be hosted by two students from the Lycée who visited Warsaw last fall. Dickerhoff is a senior and a student in Anne Slaughter’s French IV class. Hart, a junior, is in French III with M. Christopher Hindsley. Dickerhoff and Hart will attend classes at the Lycée with their host students, and visit different cities and regions in France on the weekends. The WCHS-Lycée St. Andre exchange program, initiated by former WCHS French teacher David Chastain and Lycée St. Andre English teacher Mickaël DeLion, has been continuous since 2008. The program involves a six-week exchange of two students for two consecutive years, followed by a 10-day student exchange involving 20-30 students. WCHS students and their families will be hosting 25 students from Niort in September and in April 2015, 25 WCHS students will travel to Niort.
