LEESBURG - A Syracuse man and woman are being held on $250,000 bond after an alleged armed robbery.
Steven Duane Bartels, 32, and Tracie Williams, 26, both of 521 Harbor Landing, Syracuse, were taken into custody by Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputy James Marshall and booked into Kosciusko County Jail Friday evening.Police believe Bartels and Williams robbed a Leesburg man at gunpoint at his home and demanded the man's Oxycontin Friday afternoon. The victim identified Bartels and Williams as his attackers.
The victim said the two left his home in a silver mini-van. The vehicle was later spotted at Bartels' and Williams' residence.
Syracuse Police Department officers, along with KCSD officers, arrived at the home and were allowed entry in the residence.
Once inside, officers stated they found a Derringer firearm and Oxycontin, believed to involved in the original robbery.
A marijuana cigarette and other paraphernalia also were collected into evidence by police.
Both Bartels and Williams originally were booked on $10,000 bonds, but those have since been increased to $250,000 per the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office.
