2 Arrested On Drug Charges After NET 43 Investigation

2 Arrested On Drug Charges After NET 43 InvestigationTwo Indiana men were arrested after allegedly selling cocaine in Kosciusko County.
On Friday, Kosciusko County Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET43), conducted an investigation into fentanyl pills being sold in Kosciusko County, according to a news release from NET43.
On Saturday, NET43 law enforcement officers, with the assistance of Warsaw Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office patrol divisions, conducted an undercover purchase of 83.78 grams of purported fentanyl pills from George Arthur Mitchell Jr., 29, South Bend, and Braelynn Davon Givens, 24, Indianapolis, and both were taken into custody without incident. Net43 field-tested the pills, and they tested presumptive positive for cocaine.
Upon their arrest, Mitchell had a XD 9mm handgun in his possession and Givens had a Glock 40 caliber handgun in his possession with a high-capacity magazine and ammunition.
Mitchell was charged with dealing cocaine in excess of 10 grams, a Level 2 felony, and possession of cocaine in excess of 28 grams, a Level 3 felony. The court set bond at $25,000 surety, plus $250 cash.
Givens was charged with dealing cocaine in excess of 10 grams, a Level 2 felony, and possession of cocaine in excess of 28 grams, a Level 3 felony. The court set bond at $25,000 surety, plus $250 cash.
NET43 is a collaborative law enforcement unit, consisting of officers from Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, WPD, Indiana State Police, KCSO, Winona Lake Police Department, Nappanee Police Department and Claypool Police Department, the release states.
