2 Arrested In Meth Lab Bust

LEESBURG - Two people were arrested by the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force after a working meth lab was found inside their vehicle this morning.

A drug task force officer approached a vehicle running at 85 EMS B7 Lane, Leesburg, at 5:30 a.m. today with Jason Scott Lewallen, 22, North Webster, and Hailey Kay Drumm, 24, Leesburg inside.After several minutes of trying to wake up Lewallen and Drumm, the officer noticed a strong odor of methamphetamine-produced gas when the window was rolled down.

Lewallen and Drumm were taken into custody, and it was determined that a meth lab was running, or "cooking," inside the vehicle.

When searched, knives, possible stolen property and a .40 caliber Glock handgun were taken off Lewallen. He is currently being held with possession of methamphetamine, carrying a gun without a handgun permit and possession of marijuana.

Drumm currently is being charged with possession of precursor for the production of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Both Lewallen and Drumm are being held at Kosciusko County Jail without bond as of this morning.
