A 12-year-old girl is charged with three counts of battery after allegedly striking two housemates and a staff member at Kosciusko County Juvenile Shelter.
The girl was taken to Parkview Detention Center, South Bend, after the 6:42 p.m. Wednesday incident.
According to a Warsaw Police Department report, the 12-year-old girl allegedly punched a 15-year-old pregnant female in the stomach and hit, punched, kicked and tried to bite an 18-year-old female who tried to stop her from leaving the shelter.
A female staff member also was struck in the melee.
The shelter where the incident occurred is on North Pointe Drive in Warsaw.
