1 Taken To Fort Wayne Hospital After 2-Vehicle CrashAt least one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning after one of the vehicles allegedly disregarded a red light.
According to information from Warsaw Police Department Public Information Officer Capt. Brad Kellar, a westbound tan 2004 Nissan Sentra was going through the intersection on Jefferson Street at Argonne Road when it was hit by a southbound 2011 Chevy Silverado flatbed on Argonne Road.
Two witnesses on scene stated that the driver of the pickup truck disregarded a red light. The driver of the truck was cited.
The passenger of the Nissan Sentra was transported to Lutheran Fort Wayne with unknown injuries.
The driver refused medical treatment at the scene. However, WPD was later notified that the female driver complained of loss of consciousness that was not reported to first responders and she was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital to be checked on by a family member.
Police were dispatched to the scene at 10:31 a.m. Wednesday. Damage was estimated at $7,500.
No further information was available at this time.
