A stabbing at the Time Out Inn Saturday night led to a man’s arrest minutes later.

Warsaw Police Department Public Information Officer Brad Kellar said at approximately 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Warsaw police responded to the Time Out Inn, 1701 W. Lake St., Warsaw, in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a 48-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the mid-section.

Officers pieced together witness statements and immediately began searching for the alleged suspect identified as Devon Brown, 27, of Claypool.

Minutes later, WPD officers conducted a traffic stop and Brown was located as one of the passengers in the vehicle. He was taken into custody and booked in the Kosciusko County Jail for battery with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony, and criminal gang intimidation, a Level 6 felony.
