, Betty Alma Nifong Nolin

Our sweet wife, mom, grandma and sister, Betty Alma Nifong Nolin, 75, Westview Court, Argos, took the hand of Jesus at 4:43 p.m. March 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis. She had been in declining health. 
She was born on Jan. 17, 1942, in Plymouth, to Noble and Cora Alma Stone Nifong and had lived in the Argos community all of her life. 
On Nov. 17, 1963, in Plymouth, she married Jimmy “Jim” J. Nolin, and together they have shared the past 53 years. 
She worked at the State Exchange Bank for six years and she worked at R.R. Donnelley as a feeder, utility and a binder. She retired in 1999. 
She was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1960. 
She is survived by her husband, Jim Nolin, Argos; daughters, Lisa Sponseller (husband Bryan), Atwood, and Lori Hirschy (husband Matt), Fort Wayne; a  son , Chad Nolin (wife Tiffany),  Warsaw; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Snyder (husband Eugene), Argos. 
She was preceded by her parents; brothers: Paul Nifong, Earl Nifong, Freddie Nifong and Burl Nifong; and sisters: Dorothy Nifong, Wilma Stults and Jennie June Voreis. 
Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m.  Wednesday at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.   
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Walnut Church of the Brethren Church, 5975 19th Road, Argos, with the Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
