Furious Valley Comeback Falls Short In Overtime As Bremen Wins Sectional Title

Going for their second sectional championship in a row, the Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team found itself in a tough position as the fourth quarter of IHSAA 3A Sectional 18’s championship game against Bremen. Trailing by 12 points, Valley was able to fight back to tie the game and force overtime. In the end, Bremen would make the final shot, ending the Lady Vikings’ season with a 55-53 win.

Tippy Valley Holds On For Slim Win Over Rochester

Despite not sharing a conference, the Tippecanoe Valley and Rochester girls basketball teams were able to renew their rivalry earlier this season, with the Lady Vikings coming out on top with a 28-point win. The two teams met for the second time this season on Friday night with the stakes a lot higher: a spot in the IHSAA 3A Sectional championship game. The contest was nothing like the first, coming down to the final shot after an incredibly tight game. In the end, Valley was able to escape with a 43-40 victory.
